A 31-year-old Filipina got in touch with police after 56-year-old Nasser Mubarak Almarri from Qatar threatened to upload their sex video. The woman said Almarri wanted her to have sex with him, but she refused to be intimate with him so he got mad.
Almarri — who was staying at the British Tower along Pedro Gil Street in Ermita — was arrested by members of the Manila Police District (MPD) general assignment and investigation section at around 4pm on Mon, Mar 7.
“Police said Almarri’s arrest was made on the strength of a warrant issued by Manila Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 48 Judge Silverio Castillo based on the complaint of the victim,” reports Rey Galupo in The Philippine Star.
Apparently, Almarri’s “sex video threat” was just the latest abuse he heaped upon the victim.
According to the woman, her ordeal began when “another Filipina brought her to Almarri in Qatar after she had problems regarding her visa when she was still working in the Middle East last year.”
The report noted: “Instead of helping her, Almarri raped her and promised to give her a good life.” That is why, she explained, she agreed to his demand that she enter into a relationship with him. She said Almarri followed her when she returned to the Philippines early this year.
Almarri has been charged for violating the law penalizing violence against women and children, grave coercion, and grave threats before the Manila RTC.
