Liberal Party stalwart Caloocan City Rep. Edgar Erice — who was once accused of orchestrating black propaganda against Senator Grace Poe — was asked for his birthday wish for the senator. (Poe turns 46 on Sep 3.)
“May she be enlightened,” Erice quipped.
“In fact, Erice said he wished Poe to be part of the administration ticket by running as Vice President of Secretary Mar Roxas,” reports Jester P. Manalastas on Journal Online.
He explained, “Sana makiisa siya, sumama sa amin at huwag humiwalay sa pagtaguyod ng Daang Matuwid (She should unite with us and not stray from the Straight Path).”
Erice then added, “Ang pinakamaganda sa kanyang paghahanda ay maging Vice President siya ni Sec. Mar (The best thing for her to do would be to run as the Vice President of Secretary Mar Roxas).”
The report noted: “According to Erice, the LP is still not losing hope in courting Poe to be the running mate of Roxas in 2016. But there is talk that Poe is set to announce her presidential bid either on September 15 or 16.”
