Will he beat fellow smoking aficionado President Noynoy Aquino to it?
“Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada has started chewing the sugar-free medicated lozenges after he decided to quit smoking for the nth time last January 1,” reports Macon Ramos-Araneta in Manila Standard Today.
The report quoted the 76-year-old Estrada as saying, “I hope this time, I can make it, and this will be for good.” As of Tuesday, Jan 7, he revealed he has hasn’t touched a stick in seven days.
The last time Estrada decided to quit the stick, he said it lasted 11 months. When asked what made him to decide to quit once more, he simply said, “I just want to be healthy.”
