Erap wants death penalty for drug traffickers

We’re not sure where he’s going with this, but Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada says the death penalty should be re-imposed against drug traffickers.

This, he says, will “save the Philippines from becoming another Colombia,” reports Jose Rodel Clapano on Philstar.com.

According to the report, Estrada cited data released by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency showing that 92 percent of barangays in Metro Manila are affected by illegal drugs.
