Sometimes, we simply can’t enjoy some good news.
“Manila Mayor Joseph ‘Erap’ Estrada, who returned from Hong Kong on Friday, April 25, after helping end the diplomatic row arising from the death of Hong Kong tourists in the 2010 Manila bus hostage tragedy, denied that a compensation package for the victim’s kin was paid using public funds,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
Estrada was quoted as saying, “As far as I know, the local government, the city mayor of Manila or the national government didn’t spend a single cent because all donations were from the private benefactors.”
He also added, “It’s all done. The black alert is lifted. Everything is back to normal. It’s all finished. It’s all over.”
We hope it is.
