A little girl is dead because a policeman let off some steam through his gun after two men shot his brother.

“At around 8am on Monday, February 23, in Pasig City, off-duty cop PO2 Jason Cueto was helping his mother Leonila prepare the dumplings that they would sell near their home,” reports GMA News Online.

Suddenly, two men approached Cueto and shot him. He was rushed to the Rizal Medical Center where he is in critical condition. The suspects quickly fled from the scene.

Cueto’s elder brother, who happens to be a cop as well, got overwhelmed by what had happened to his brother. PO3 Reynante Cueto was said to have been carried away by his feelings when fired his handgun.

The report noted: “Renante reportedly fired five to six shots, after which a nearby resident sought help for the two-year-old child who was hit. The child was rushed to a hospital but doctors could not save her.”

Meanwhile, police are tracking down the suspects who shot Jason. They have been identified as Dumantog Buratong and a certain “Itlog” of Magdalena Compound in the same city.
