Election campaign materials as valuable mementoes?

After last week’s elections, the candidates’ campaign materials may be considered as junk, but for history buffs and collectors, today’s junk might become valuable some time in the future.

According to Jonathan Balsamo, the curator of Valenzuela City’s Museo Valenzuela, the campaign materials used during last week’s elections, specially those of candidate winning a lower position, can become very valuable if the same elected official becomes a senator or president, 10 or 20 years later.

Inquirer News reported that the same campaign materials can also be of historical and educational value reflecting a generations’s political experience.
