As much as we’d like to think that our country has already been modernized, there are still some spots where superstition rules and may even be deadly.
A 68-year-old woman in Malasiqui, Pangasinan was recently injured when a still-unidentified suspect shot at her house.
Luckily, as indicated in an ABS-CBN News report, the woman only sustained minor wounds on her feet and shoulder.
Initial investigation revealed that the woman has been accused of being a mangkukulam (witch). Police think one of her accusers may be responsible for the shooting.
The woman shrugged off the allegations of being a witch, saying all she did was do laundry and watch over her grandkids.
