Stranger danger.
A 70-year-old woman was arrested earlier today after she allegedly attempted to kidnap two children in Marikina City.
According to the initial investigation of Marikina Police, the first victim was eating outside their house in Barangay (Village) Jesus Dela Peña when the unidentified suspect allegedly pulled the victim by the arm, Radyo Inquirer reported.
The victim’s mother was quick to notice this and immediately pulled her child back.
This didn’t stop the woman, though.
ABS-CBN News reported that just moments after the incident, the suspect allegedly attempted to kidnap another child in the same area. The kid was able to run back to the mother who alerted the police, which led to the suspect’s arrest.
The suspect, a resident of Bulusan, Sorsogon, is now detained at the Marikina City Police Detention Cell.
She will face charges for an attempted abduction in relation to RA 7610, the Radyo Inquirer report added.
