You can’t make this stuff up.

ABS-CBN News reported that four people, including an elderly man who just had a stroke, were arrested today by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) at a suspected drug den in Manila’s Blumentritt Extension.

The NBI said the place is a drug den based on a surveillance video which allegedly showed the elderly resident using what they suspect was meth (shabu).

When the authorities arrived at the house, they saw the same elderly man lying in bed, unable to move. According to the other people staying in the house, the man had a mild stroke last Friday and couldn’t walk.

The police reportedly found packets of meth in the house. They also arrested a man and two women who allegedly confessed that they were drug users.

According to Kristine dela Cruz, the executive officer of the NBI ‘s Special Action Unit: “We heard that doctors and nurses would go there [to do drugs], sometimes they even wear their uniforms. There are also taxi and jeepney drivers and even policemen in uniform who would go there.”

Those arrested will be charged with violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
