It’s a tragedy that could have been avoided.
“On Saturday morning, May 3, 78-year-old Severino and 72-year-old Clara Macabinquil died in a fire that struck their home along No. 25 Odonel Street in Barangay Holy Spirit, Quezon City,” reports Philstar.com.
The couple was found lifeless in their room. Meanwhile, a relative who was staying with them, who was only identified as a 25-year-old woman named Dalia, was rushed to the hospital for burn wounds.
The investigation revealed that the fire started from an unattended lit candle.
