EDSA I celebration relocated to Malacañang

Blame it on the road works.

“For the first time in 28 years, the anniversary celebration of the 1986 EDSA Revolution will not be held in the historic thoroughfare but at the Malacañang Palace grounds,” reports Delon Porcalla in The Philippine Star.

Press Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. explained that the event was “relocated” due to the construction of the Stage 3 Skyway along the stretch of EDSA.

“This is for the sake of our people so that this event will no longer contribute and create more problems in traffic along EDSA,” Coloma said.
