His decision is final.

“On Tuesday, September 2, Eastern Police District director Senior Superintendent Elmer Jamias vowed to pursue the charges he filed against Vice President Jejomar Binay for allegedly berating him and other police officers during a standoff at the Makati City Hall in June,” reports Cecille Suerte Felipe in The Philippine Star.

It may be recalled that back then, Jamias was still the deputy director for administration of the Southern Police Dsitrict (SPD). He had led his men in serving the suspension order issued by the ombudsman against Binay’s son, Makati Mayor Jejomar “Erwin” Junjun Binay. The Vice President, of course, made it known that he wasn’t having it. Later on, Jamias had said: “Hindi po siya umakto bilang Pangalawang Pangulo (He didn’t act like a Vice President).”

Jamias revealed that he has already submitted his complaint of direct assault and threat against Binay to the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) legal division.

Jamias explained, “The complaint is under review by the NCRPO. I gave a sworn statement to the Southern Police District (SPD) investigators, who endorsed it to the regional level for review.”
