Duterte’s ex-wife wants to be seated far away from Honeylet on inauguration day

LIke any woman, the former wife of incoming President Rodrigo Duterte is careful about dealing with her ex and his current flame.

Elizabeth Zimmerman said that she may request that she and her children be seated separately from Cielito “Honeylet” Avanceña, Duterte’s current partner, reports ABS-CBN News.

Zimmerman refused to comment on how she will deal with Avanceña if they cross paths on Duterte’s inauguration on Thu, Jun 30.

“I cannot answer that but maybe I will ask somebody from the PMS [Presidential Management Staff] that we sit separately with my children and my grandchildren so they could sit also separately,” Zimmerman told reporters at the sidelines of a photo exhibit on Duterte’s early days as a politician.

Though Duterte and Zimmerman separated in 1988, the two seem to be in good terms. She even helped him during campaign season.

Her relationship with Avanceña, however, is an entirely different story. It’s safe to say that they’re not BFFs.

Think Zimmerman should just skip the inauguration? Not a chance.

“I’m there [inauguration] for my children, because if I’m not there, maybe my children will not attend. So I’m there for my children,” she said.

Duterte and Zimmerman have three children: Davao City Mayor-elect Sara Duterte, Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte, and pambansang crush Sebastian Duterte.
