President Rodrigo Duterte on Mon expressed his admiration for the new POTUS Donald Trump, and his wife, Melania a former Slovene-American model.
“Billionaire, grabeng ganda ng asawa niyan. Inggit ako,” Duterte said in his speech during the birthday celebration of Philippine National Police Chief, Director General Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa.

“Duterte said Trump must already feel like he’s in heaven because aside from being married to Melania, Trump has also made a fortune as a real estate mogul and now enjoys the prestige of being president,” reports ABS-CBN News.
During the campaign season, paralellisms between the two leaders were drawn because of their similar pronouncements. Duterte, however, said that Trump’s wealth and beautiful wife heightens the difference between them.
The Philippine President also said that he had the privilege of congratulating Trump on his recent inauguration. He also defended Trump against his critics. Duterte said that Trump wouldn’t be a billionaire if he’s not intelligent.
