‘Duterte for president’ petition gets 800,000 signatures

So, how about it, folks?

“Around 800,000 residents from 170 barangays in Davao have signed a petition urging Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte to run for president in the 2016 elections,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

The campaign is spearheaded by a group of Davao City barangay captains, who call themselves the Pilipinas Duterte 2016 Movement. They’re gathering signatures in 12 more barangays in the city.

The report said the group “will expand its campaign in April in the whole Davao region, which has about 1.7 million voters.”
