Sometimes drastic measures have to be taken in the pursuit of justice.
“Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte announced a bounty of PHP1 million for the capture of suspects behind the fatal shooting of race car driver Enzo Pastor in Quezon City,” reports Camille Diola on Philstar.com.
Pastor, 32, was shot by a still-unidentified man last June 12. He had been a passenger in a tow truck that was hauling an Asian V8 car to Clark International Speedway. He was attacked shortly before midnight that day, while the truck stopped at corner of Congressional Avenue and Visayas Avenue.
It turns out that Duterte is a close friend of the slain race car driver’s family.

Duterte was quoted as saying, “I am offering P1 million for the capture and successful prosecution of the killer of Enzo. All you have to do is just to text me, tutal ma-trace ko naman and I’ll give you my word of honor that it will be ultra-secret.”
