Duterte irked by CHR chief calling him a ‘bad influence’

This is a fight worth watching.

“Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte yesterday advised Commission on Human Rights (CHR) chief Rosetta Rosales to shut up on the slapping incident involving Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista and a Chinese man arrested for possession of 10 kilos of high-grade shabu worth PHP15 million,” reports Edith Regalado in The Philippine Star.

Rosales had said that Duterte should just keep quiet when asked about the issue because his comments made him a “bad influence” on other local government officials.

Duterte had said, “There was nothing wrong with Mayor Herbert slapping that Chinese guy. It was not even enough.” Duterte then added that if it were up to him, he’d kick the drug dealer and throw him out in the Davao Gulf.

This time around, Duterte slammed Rosales, He pointed out that she “has been implicated in the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP) fund mess.

Thus, Duterte said Rosales “has no moral authority to lecture local government officials on what to do with drug suspects.”
