Raise your hand if you think positive reinforcement is effective.

President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday issued an executive order creating a special award for people who will support government advocacies such as the protecting the environment, and fighting drugs, gambling, and corruption, ABS-CBN News reports.

According to EO17, “the efforts and sacrifices of the officials and personnel of the government and private citizens in furtherance of the campaign or advocacy of the President deserve recognition.”

The Order of Lapu-Lapu is composed of three medals.

The Lapu-Lapu medal is for individuals who have “contributed significantly” to government campaigns.

The Kalasag Medal is for those who lost lives or property in serving an advocacy.

And the Kampilan Medal is for those who were seriously injured while participating in a government initiative.

The award may be given posthumously. Funds will be drawn from the Office of the President.

Who do you think will be the first awardee?
