President Rodrigo Duterte landed in Manila late Saturday night from Cagayan de Oro City and headed to a funeral home to visit the families of the victims of the casino attack that left 37 people dead.

Accompanied by Bong Go, the special assistant to the president, Duterte arrived at Veronica Memorial Chapel along Libertad Street in Pasay City past 11 p.m., according to DZMM’s Ron Lopez.

The bodies of nine of the victims in the Resorts World Manila attack are under the care of the aforementioned funeral home.

Duterte was met by National Capital Region Police Office chief Director Oscar Albayalde and Southern Police District’s Chief Superintendent Tomas Apolinario, before the president made his way into the chapel.

Duterte also visited Rizal Funeral Homes afterward.
