Some people are great swimmers, but this dude impressed everyone for his ability to get a full night’s sleep in a pool.
Netizen Iris Vicencio (@irisvicencio) wrote about her cousin Seth Gabriel Ricafort’s crazy act of sleeping in water in a now-viral tweet from Saturday.
“We’re on a family outing and there was no space on the bed, so my drunk cousin put on his trunks and said ‘I will just sleep in the swimming pool’,” she tweeted in a mix of English and Filipino. “I thought it was just a joke, [but] f*ck he was serious.”
We’re on a family outing and wala nang space sa kama so my drunk cousin put on his trunks and said “dun nalang ako matutulog sa swimming pool.”

She posted photos of Ricafort floating on the pool with a green inflatable wrapped around him.
“I really thought he was f*cking with me so I went in the room and MY SISTER WENT OUT [and] 20 MINUTES LATER HE’S STILL THERE SLEEPING AND FLOATING OH MY GOD AHAHHSHSHDHDH HELP THIS BOY,” she said in a follow-up tweet.

But @irisvicencio warned netizens not to do the same stunt that Ricafort did. She also said that he was watched over by his friends to make sure that he’s safe.
It should go without saying that no one should do this too. We didn’t stop my cousin because he’s a really smart guy and always knows what he’s doing, plus he had his friends around him the whole time awake from 1AM – 5AM, he’s safe and alive.

Because of Ricafort’s crazy act, @irisvicencio’s tweets exploded and now has more than 6,200 retweets. Netizens have also liked it 38,000 times.
Coconuts Manila interviewed Ricafort via Twitter and he said that the whole thing happened over the weekend at the King Leonard Island Resort in Bocaue, Bulacan province. He said he started to sleep in the pool at around 11:45pm.
“[But] I woke up at 3am because there were noisy people playing volleyball in the pool, and then I slept again,” he recalled. “And then woke up at around 7am because they needed to clean the pool HAHAHA. So that was like a solid seven hours [of sleep].”
Contrary to what most might think, he said that it was actually pretty comfortable.
“If you would look at the picture, my head was always above the water. [The water] didn’t go inside my ears or nose. And I never thought sleeping while floating on water was this relaxing HAHA,” he said.
Ricafort said that he couldn’t sleep with his cousins inside their room because there was no space. “The room was also too cold for me. So I thought ‘Screw it, I’m just gonna sleep in the pool’,” he said.
Many netizens still can’t get over what he did. @belisonellen joked that it’s good that Ricafort doesn’t move around so much when he’s sleeping.
