No word on how much the compensation will be, but if you need a job then the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) is definitely hiring.

“The DSWD is in need of 47,644 field workers to implement the ‘Listahanan’ second nationwide assessment,” reports Philippine News Agency on InterAksyon.com.

You see, as the report indicated, “in 2009, the DSWD conducted the first nationwide assessment that resulted in the identification of 5.2 million poor households out of the 10.9 million assessed.”

This time around, the DSWD wants to cover more families.

The report noted: “The field workers will be composed of 1,277 area coordinators, 6,383 area supervisors, 31,908 enumerators, 4,038 encoders, and 4,038 verifiers.”

DSWD Secretary Dinky Soliman said the said field workers “will be tasked to collect information from 15.3 million households in 1,490 municipalities and 144 cities nationwide.”

The report explained that “the Listahanan is an information management system that makes available to national government agencies, local government units, and other social protection stakeholders a comprehensive list of poor families in need of assistance.”

Applications may be submitted via e-mail to nhtspr.npmo@dswd.gov.ph or delivered personally to the nearest DSWD Regional Office or at the Social Welfare and Development Team office in the province.

Interested individuals are encouraged to check the DSWD Regional Office websites for details.
