On Wed night, May 27, an SUV driven by SPO1 Reynaldo Fernandez crashed into the back of the car driven by News5 TV reporter Ryan Ang, who had his wife, Arlyn, and their two kids with him.

According to Ang, their car had been near the U-turn slot of EDSA southbound in the Caloocan City area when Fernandez’s car suddenly hit them. This caused their car to move forward and then hit the trailer truck in front of them.

Needless to say, Ang’s car got wrecked. Thankfully, nobody was hurt in the incident.

Fernandez readily admitted that he was driving drunk. He added that he was ready to face charges  and would pay for the damage caused by his actions. —from an Umagang Kay Ganda report
