Drunk man and 2 buddies threaten priest in Caloocan

Don’t drink and go to church.

The hostile encounter started when a very drunk Junior Gonzales, 21, staggered into the St Joseph Church in Caloocan City at around 2 am on Friday, Dec 27. Naturally, Edgar Guatero, the parish priest, who was alarmed by Gonzales’ entry, politely asked him to step out. Gonzales didn’t like being cast out, so to speak.

“Gonzales left, came back minutes later with his friends Martin Osaya, 21, and Ryan del Mundo, 23, in tow and they all reportedly cursed at the priest and threatened him with bodily harm,” reports Rey Galupo in the Philippine Daily Inquirer.

This time around, Guatero sought reinforcement from the ground (as opposed to from up above). He called police officers, who promptly came and arrested the Gonzales, Osaya, and Del Mundo. The three will be charged with trespassing and grave threats.
