Drunk cop threatens 7-11 employees with gun

This story is stranger than you think.

“At around 3am on Saturday, Feb 8, Senior Police Officer 4 Harvey Guilao, a liaison officer of the Police Regional Office 10, entered a 7-11 store in Malanday, Valenzuela and started eating whatever caught his fancy there,” reports Rey Galupo in The Philippine Star.

According to the complaint filed by store cashiers Paul Aranzao and Philip Glen Duata, Guilao started with a siopao and went on to “taste” chocolate bars, ice cream, and other food products. The cashiers pointed out that Guilao appeared to be drunk.

Things took a frightening turn when Guilao saw Aranzao and Duata listing down what he had consumed. That was when he drew his gun and threatened them with it. He told them to wait until he had finished eating.

And so, Artanzao and Duata decided to call police officers at the Dalandanan precinct, who promptly came and arrested Guilao.

The cop with the munchies has been subsequently charged with grave threats and estafa before the Valenzuela prosecutor’s office.
