There are safer ways to mark Independence Day.
“On Thursday night, June 12, sPO2 Allan Corado recently got drunk, ran amok, and fired his .45-caliber pistol outside his home in La Loma, Quezon City,” reports ABS-CBN News correspondent Carolyn Bonquin on ABS-CBnnews.com.
Corado also reportedlypointed his gun at barangay volunteer Danilo de Leon. “Eh winawasiwas n’ya yung baril n’ya tapos itinutok. Nagwawala talaga (He waved around his gun and then pointed it at me. He was really out of his mind),” De Leon said.
Corado was promptly arrested. He admitted that he had been drunk but he claimed that he didn’t point his gun at anyone.
