The Ayala Tunnel is off-limits to pedestrians. That was why a driver got the shock of his life at around 3am last Wed, Aug 19, when a woman suddenly stood in front of his car.
The driver did his best to avoid the woman, but his car kept skidding and hit her. The driver, identified as William Ong, stopped and, along with another motorist, called for help.
The woman, who was described as being around 50 years old, was immediately taken to the hospital. The authorities were not able to get her name, as she was unconscious and didn’t have any ID on her. She is said to be in critical condition.
