The Philippine National Police–Highway Patrol Group (PNP-HPG) has a fairy godmother.

When they took over the traffic management of EDSA, the members of the PNP-HPG were asked by reports for their “wish list” items in line with their new task.

Among the items on the PNP-HPG’s wish list were skin protection products, as they would be exposed to the harsh conditions on the road.

“On Monday, September 14, the PNP-Public Information Office said dermatologist to the stars Dr. Vicki Belo donated her company’s products to the PNP-HPG. The donations included skin protection soaps and lotions,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

The report recalled that “HPG director Chief Supt. Arnold Gunnacao as saying that sunblock, water jugs and Vitamin C would help the traffic enforcers deal with the conditions on the road.”

The report noted: The HPG is now on its second week of manning the traffic along EDSA, replacing the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA). Gunnacao earlier said members of the private have been generous to the HPG, donating heavy duty tents, raincoats, rubber boots, LED flashlights, gloves, face masks, and digital cameras.”
