In a recent interview, Dr. Elenita Binay — the wife of Vice President Jejomar Binay — denied that her family is involved in any anomaly.

The doctor denied accusations that her family is using dummies to accumulate hidden wealth, saying, “Hay naku, politics is so dirty!”

She added in Filipino, “We’re not doing anything to hurt anyone.”

“Dr. Binay herself is facing graft and malversation charges over the alleged anomalous purchase of PHP45 million worth of medical supplies during her term as mayor of Makati from 1998 to 2001,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

Meanwhile, the Vice President and his son, current Makati Mayor Junjun Binay, are being accused of approving and reaping rewards from overpriced building projects such as the Makati City Hall Building II and the Makati Science High School Building.
