The Donut Gang struck again on Tuesday, striking fear in the hearts of automotive tires across this fair metropolis.
Suspected members of the gang were spotted at Home Depot, a commercial complex on Julia Vargas Avenue in Pasig City, after the compound’s security guards were alerted to men in a Toyota Revo who were reportedly stealing car tires.
Guards locked down the compound but the gang members managed to get away. They left their Toyota Revo nearby, though, presumably making a getaway on foot.
Pasig Police recovered two Montero tires, a bolt cutter, and a police I.D., radio DZMM reports.
Police are still checking the registration on the Revo and are checking whether the police I.D. is authentic.
The Donut Gang is called that because they steal tires, and not because they distract victims with sweet pastries.
