“Department of Justice (DOJ) Secretary Leila de Lima’s confirmation hearing at the Commission on Appointments (CA) on Wednesday, June 4, turned out to be heated. When it was over, De Lima also failed to get a nod from the CA,” reports ANC.
The report revealed that “Sandra Cam—the president of the Whistleblowers Association of the Philippines—went for broke in unleashing her accusations against De Lima.” *Cam slammed De Lima’s indifference in certain cases and likewise accused her of having “illicit affairs.”
Cam alleged that De Lima, whose marriage to her husband has been annulled, engaged in relationships with “at least two married men.”
De Lima, for her part, refused to answer questions about her personal life. She said, “I do not want to publicly engage insofar as those issues are concerned. It’s too demeaning for me.”
