DOH to launch ‘Mosquito Dance’

Tell us again how dancing can help fight diseases? Sure, it’s fun but, ultimately, does it give us the right results?

“Department of Health (DOH) Assistant Secretary Eric Tayag will launch today the agency’s ‘Mosquito Dance’ as part of its campaign against mosquito-borne diseases such as malaria and dengue,” reports Leslie Ann Aquino in the Manila Bulletin.

The launching of the dance is said to be part of the observance of World Health Day today, Monday, April 7.

Unfortunately, the report didn’t describe the so-called “Mosquito Dance.” Then again, we’re sure Dr. Tayag will once again be demonstrating it in several TV shows.

Meanwhile, watch this video of Dr. Tayag doing the anti-firecrackers dance to the tune of Katy Perry’s “Roar.”
