Our advice to Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Jericho Petilla: Don’t. Just don’t.
“Petilla is urging the public to conserve energy this summer by limiting the use of air-conditioning units during the peak hours of 11am to 2pm,” reports Jon Carlos Rodriguez on ABS-CBNnews.com.
If people can’t help but turn on their air-conditioning units, they should keep the temperature at 24 degrees Celsius. He explained, “Maybe people can sacrifice a little, they should have it at 24 (degrees Celsius) because many put it at 21 (degrees Celsius) and that has a high demand on power.”
