His death is a mystery.
“Lam Hau Fai, 77, a doctor, was discovered dead in his clinic by his household helper, Analyn Basilisco at around 10:05pm on Wednesday, Feb 19,” reports Jenny Manongdo in the Manila Bulletin.
According to the report, Basilico revealed that she last saw the doctor at about 3pm that day in his residence at 500 Juan Luna Street, Binondo, Manila. He then left for his clinic at 503 Camelot Building, which is also located in Binondo, Manila.
Basilico said then went to the doctor’s office that night to fetch him. That’s when she found him dead.
Police later revealed that Lam sustained a lone stab wound on his chest. Th report said “the knife was still embedded on his chest when police arrived.”
