If you missed out on Alliance Francaise’s Paradis event Tuesday night, no worries. The big night is set to happen on Monday, March 23.
Francophonie night happens on March 23 at the Alliance Francaise HQ on Nicanor Garcia in Makati. There will be a graffiti exhibit, a poetry reading, and finally a concert featuring Tablatronic, an electro-indie band from France. Not bad for a Monday night, no? You know what’s better? The party’s for free.
Alliance Francaise de Manille’s Francophonie shebang follows the “Spring of Poets” tradition. “In France, every year in March, the “Spring of Poets” is organized,” says Sofie Quartier of AFM.
Apart from the big Monday finale, there will also be free French poetry workshops on Thursday and Saturday, both for kids and adults. Swing by if you feel like you can whip up some romantic poems in the sexy French language. If not, see you on Monday.
