Written by Rogelio Braga, ‘Mas Mabigat ang Liwanag Kaysa sa Kalungkutan’ is a play about Muslim Filipinos coming of age during the time when the clamor for war was all the rage.
It was supposed to run in Manila on June 26 & 27 and then in Cotabato on July 1 & 2. But for some reason or another, the play has been canceled.
Braga announced the cancellation on his Facebook page today. But, he balanced the bad news with the good: UP Repertory Company is opening the rehearsals tonight to the public. As in, yes, you can catch the play tonight at 7:30pm in Aldaba Hall, across the UP Bahay ng Alumni.
