DLSU student falls to death in campus

On Tue evening, Oct 25, a female student fell to her death from the 20th floor of the Brother Andrew Gonzales Hall of De La Salle University (DLSU) on Taft Avenue in Manila.

In a statement shared by the student publication The Lasallian, the DLSU Office for Strategic Communications confirmed that an incident happened inside the campus. The statement indicated that “school officials are currently cooperating with investigators and the student’s family members on the matter.”

A Scene Of the Crime Office (SOCO) van was seen in front of the Gonzales Hall shortly after the incident. The students were unable to use the Fidel Reyes entrance for a brief period, Manila Bulletin reports.

DLSU students and graduates conveyed their sympathies through social media.

This is possibly the second incident involving the death of a college student this week after a teenager fell to her death from the fourth floor of SM Megamall on Oct 24.
