It truly is unfortunate that De La Salle team captain and leading scorer Ara Galang suffered a season-ending knee injury on Saturday in the do-or-die game against the National University.

DLSU won that game but they will have to march into the finals and face defending champions Ateneo Lady Eagles in the finals minus Galang.

“In losing Galang, La sale lost a player who contributed 17 points per game with a 32.87% success rate on her spikes,” reports Camille B. Naredo on ABS-CBNnews.com.

The report continues: “Galang has also been the emotional leader on the court, their go-to player when the going gets tough.”

The DLSU Lady Spikers is advancing to the Finals for the seventh straight year. They will be facing the Ateneo Lady Eagles, which has a thrice-to-beat advantage after sweeping the elimination round.
