“Aldrin Jeff Cudia, the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) cadet who was dismissed in 2014 for allegedly violating the honor code, has passed the entrance exam of the University of the Philippines (UP) College of Law,” reports Alexis Romero on Philstar.com.
The entrance exam results posted on the college’s website show that “Cudia, Aldrin Jeff Pastores” is among the successful applicants. He, along with others who passed the exam, would still be interviewed.
Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) chief Persida Acosta explained that “while the PMA dismissed Cudia, the former cadet was able to satisfy all the academic requirements for a bachelor’s degree, which is needed to enter law school.”
Acosta explained, “Every PMA-er has two personalities – as student and as cadet. He won’t be commissioned n the military but he met the academic requirements.”
The report noted: “Acosta admitted that Cudia’s plan to enter law school could be jeopardized if the PMA holds the two documents but believes the academy has no reason to do so.”
