A woman and three police officers were arrested during a buy bust operations outside the Resorts World in Pasay City last Sunday.
Arrested were PO1 Jonathan Barredo, his wife Maria Yehlen Felipe, her brother PO2 Mark Lawrence Felipe and PO1 Josephine Penalosa. They were arrested by a joint task force composed of the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) and the Naval Intelligence and Security Force.
According to Senior Superintendent Napoleon Taas, the Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Force (AIDSOTF) head, Barredo was caught after he handed a kilo of shabu to an undercover police operative. Aside from the drugs charges, Barredo was also charged for robbery and frustrated murder during a Quezon City market robbery. He was also under surveillance for reportedly belonging to a kidnap syndicate, the Philippine Star reported.
