With the Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. May 2 fight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas drawing near, both camps are intensifying their preparations.
Pacquiao’s 65-year-old mother, Dionisia, along with her 40-year-old boyfriend Michael Yamson, recently arrived in Los Angeles.
Fondly called Mommy D by media and fans, the boxing champ’s mom lost no time in getting her game face on. By that, as a 24 Oras report indicates, it means that she got a facial as part of her preparations for seeing her son face off with Mayweather.
Mommy D said she has also picked out her outfit for the big day — a white Filipiniana outfit.
Pacquiao’s mom explained that she’s getting ready early because she knows her son’s upcoming fight is of great importance. “Hindi basta-basta ang laban ng anak ko. Hindi makuha sa 20 minutes lang sa pagluhod,” she said, referring to the fact that she’s also spent more time praying for her son this time around.
