DFA’s Ali Mall office accused of showing pirated version of ‘A Second Chance’

Just how powerful is the Bea Alonzo-John Lloyd Cruz love team? Well, powerful enough to allegedly make Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) employees dare to show a pirated version of their movie at their office.

On Fri, Feb 5, comedian Vice Ganda posted this decalration on Twitter: “This is DISGUSTING!!! Hoy DFA Ali Mall ang garapal nitong ahensya ng gobyerno na ito!!!”

He was citing a tweet from Mico del Rosario, who posted a photo supposedly showing one of the TV screens in the DFA satellite office in Ali Mall, Cubao, Quezon City.

Vice Ganda then added another tweet: “Langya magpalabas ba ng pirated na A Second Chance e meron namang pirated na Beauty and the Bestie!!! Chozzzz! #NoToPiracy.”

“Now, the DFA will conduct an investigation into the reported showing of the pirated version of A Second Chance at its Ali Mall office,” reports Rainier Allan Ronda in The Philippine Star.

In a statement, the DFA declared, “The DFA has never authorized any showing of pirated movies in any of its passport satellite offices. We are looking into the complaint and personnel found involved will be dealt with disciplinary action.”
