DFA Advisory: 7,849 active Covid-19 cases among Filipinos abroad, as of August 9, 2021

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) reports that there were a total of 90 new cases of Covid-19 among overseas Filipinos over the past week, bringing the total of active cases to 7,849.

There were also 27 new recoveries and three fatalities among Filipinos abroad over the previous week, bringing the overall total to 21,731 confirmed cases, 12,558 recoveries, and 1,325 deaths among Filipinos abroad, from 100 countries and territories.

The current figures show a drop from two weeks ago, when the DFA reported a total of 503 new confirmed cases, 71 new recoveries, and 56 new fatalities. Compared to these figures, the total number of COVID-19 fatalities, under treatment, and recoveries decreased by 0.23%, 0.77%, and 0.23%, respectively.
