The Department of Education has postponed the National Career Assessment Examinations scheduled from Aug 28 to Sep 11. The NCAE is a test given to high school seniors to help them choose career tracks and college courses. According to the Official Gazette, the NCAE has been postponed in Metro Manila, other parts of Luzon, as well as the regions of Ilocos, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Calabarzon, and the Cordillera Administrative Region. DepEd did not give a reason for the postponement, although it’s likely because of tropical storm Maring, which caused widespread flooding in Metro Manila and in the provinces.
