Question is, will they be able to keep this up? It it’s quest to make Filipino children healthier and most probably smarter too, the Department of Education (DepEd) has enforced a ban on junk foods, carbonated beverages and artificially-flavored fruit juices in school canteens. They mean well, we know. The problem will be enforcing the said directive.
An ABS CBN News report revealed that these banned snacks were still being sold in majority of school canteens despite the DepEd order.
