Dentist in Sampaloc robbed twice this month

It’s amazing that this woman hasn’t considered moving out of her neighborhood or, heck, moving out of the country. We can’t blame her if she does.

Last March 3, Dr. Dulce Otamias’ dental clinic was robbed by an armed man. The man had pretended to be a customer but then he suddenly pushed her secretary and brandished a balisong. He took cash and valuables. That clinic of hers was in a different location.

“Then on Wednesday, Mar 26, motorcycle-riding men stole P300,000 in cash and other valuables from Otamias’ dental clinic in Sampaloc, Manila,” reports ABS-CBN News correspondent Francis Faulve on ABS-CBNnews.com.

According to the report, the suspects parked near the clinic. Then, perhaps when they saw Otamias stepping out of the clinic to go to the parlor, one of them went into the clinic.

The scary thing is that the clinic was also situated in Otamias’ residence. At that time, her two children and a helper were home. The suspect threatened the kids and the helper with a gun. He then ordered the kids to turn over the valuables inside the house to them.

The report noted that “CCTV footage from the barangay showed that the suspect left the clinic wearing his helmet, carrying a bag filled with cash, jewelry, four laptops, a cellphone, and other gadgets.” He then got into the motorcycle and he and his companion sped away.

The case is now under investigation.
