Chaos ensued when Deniece Cornejo and Cedric Lee attended the preliminary probe on the incident involving actor Vhong Navarro at the Department of Justice on Friday, Feb 21. *Lee’s sister, Bernice, as well as a man identified as Zimmer Raz were also at the DOJ to submit their counter-affidavit to Navarro’s complaint.
Cornejo’s lawyer, Atty. Howard Calleja, reiterated that “there was no intention to detain comedian and TV host Vhong Navarro on the evening of Jan 22,” reports Tetch Torres-Tupas on Inquirer.net.
Calleja then went on to say that Cornejo’s allegation that Navarro raped her stays. “In rape, there is already a decision by the Supreme Court that in a minute, there can already be rape,” he said.
Cornejo, Lee, and their Jan 22 companions are facing charges of serious illegal detention, serious physical injury, grave threats, grave coercion, and blackmail.
