Delta Airlines plane stuck in NAIA due to engine trouble

It’s better to “stay grounded” in this case.

“On Friday, May 9, a Boeing 747 series 400 plane of Delta Airlines bound for New York via Narita was grounded at the the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) due to an engine problem,” reports Raoul Esperas on ABS-CBNnews.com.

The flight (DL 172), which had more than 300 passengers, was supposed to depart around 7:40 a.m. from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1.

However, it was decided that it would remain on the ground “after the pilot and ground personnel heard a loud sound emanating from the first engine from the right wing during the initial safety inspection prior to takeoff.”
