According to online database Numbeo, Davao City and Valenzuela City are on the list of Southeast Asian cities with the lowest crime rates.
Numbeo describes itself as “the world’s largest database of user contributed data about cities and countries worldwide.” It gives current information on each city’s cost of living, housing indicators, health care, traffic, crime, and pollution.”
Below is the Numbeo’s list of the Top 10 most peaceful and safest spots in Southeast Asia, as of 9am on Jun 19 and based on low crime index numbers:

2. Davao City (Philippines)
3. Valenzuela City (Philippines)
4. Chiang Mai (Thailand)
5. Bandar Seri Begawan (Brunei)
6. Vientiane (Laos)
