Jesus Manalo is now facing charges after he had a meltdown and used a syringe with a needle to stab a doctor and a nurse at the Southern Philippines Medical Center in Davao City.
Earlier this week, Manalo rushed his six-year-old son to the hospital. The boy had been hit by a van and his leg was broken. Manalo claimed that he had brought his son there in the evening, but they ended up waiting.
“Manalo said he became very frustrated when nobody bothered to examine his son until it was already dawn,” reports InterAksyon.com.
Manalo said he got so frustrated that he temporarily left his son in a corner then he ran to the nurses’ station. He then grabbed a syringe with a needle and then proceeded to stab the doctor and nurse on duty in their necks.
The doctor and the nurse were given emergency treatment.
Manalo was arrested. His son is now confined at the hospital.
